Simplicity
Every year I have grand plans on how and what I hope to do over the Christmas season. There are always more things on this list than I could possibly accomplish. I KNOW that I cannot be the only parent that becomes obsessed with how horrible their children’s Christmas will be if I don’t do everything on everyday to make it special does this. This year my plan is to plan less. Focus on a few things that are truly important to us rather than a lot of extraneous stuff that is not enriching our lives. That is kinda my theme this month: simple enriching activities for us. I hope some of you can use these ideas as well. Everything will not be Christmas themed and there isn’t going to be a post everyday leading up to Christmas. That would negate the focus on simplicity.
Now don’t get me wrong, if you are the kind of person that has a big project every day of the season and you and your family enjoy that – have fun. No judgment here. I think that is great. I am not that kind of person and when momma isn’t happy no one is. For my house, all of the projects and busyness were not making our lives and season better- just more stressful. This year I hope to keep it real. We will do things, but only the things we truly want to do.
With that in mind, I will be posting activities that are simple and streamlined all month in addition to a few commentaries. I will also be doing some looking around and sharing of simple and joyful ideas that I spot out in the blogosphere. Hope you are looking forward to it as much as I am.

I think your plan for simplicity is a great one 🙂 Having too much to do always makes me crazy!!
Thanks! Glad to know I am not alone.
