Turn Homeschool Math Tears to Smiles with Teaching Textbooks 4.0
I’ve been in and around education my entire life and I don’t care how high up you go, math seems to strike fear into MANY hearts. I wish I had dime for how many brilliant people have told me – I can’t do math. So if you have taken on homeschooling, but you are of afraid of math once you get beyond 1-2-3 then keep reading. I was compensated for my time to provide this updated review and all opinions are honest.

Homeschool Math is Tricky
Choosing curriculum for your kiddos can be daunting. It is only gets more complicated when you are bringing some of your own bias about a subject to the table. Sometimes that means removing yourself from direct instruction is the BEST CHOICE. That means you won’t accidently pass on your negative feelings about a topic. Math is one of those areas where I see this happen the most. That is how we get people with doctorates saying they are dumb in math.
Teaching Textbooks is an affordable, flexible, engaging solution when looking for ways to remove mom and dad from direct instruction, but still get math instruction in that is easy to access and consistent.

Teaching Textbooks is a Great Solution to Homeschool Math Challenges.
We are eclectic homeschoolers at my house. We use a mix and match of everything and the addition of Teaching Textbooks was great for me when I needed to offload some topics for my older kids as my younger one started needing more direct instruction time with me (there are only 24 hours in the day, after all).
This is the only homeschool math curriculum that I’ve found that does everything for me. This platform teaches, grades, and records the grades. All I have to do is log in and check on things. This means it hits the easy button for me as the teacher of all things for all the kids.

If you have ever wanted to try out Teaching Textbooks, now is the time! The new 4.0 version is “awesome” (that is a quote from my 7th grader)!
For large families, Teaching Textbooks has a family plan to accommodate 4-8 students at a set price (currently $199.95 but that is subject to change). This makes using a one time use curriculum a much easier option for larger families. When you combine that with the ease for mom and dad (and the value of your time) it is an easy decision.
Considering Teaching Textbooks for Homeschool Math? Just updated to the new 4.0
Teaching Textbooks has worked well for us, but I can admit I was a little worried when I knew Flash was being discontinued and that it would require a major redesign. Teaching Textbooks 4.0 does NOT disappoint.
The biggest (and in my opinion the best) change is that now Teaching Textbooks is an app. That means it has be installed on your computer, phone, or tablet. I know some people don’t like that idea, BUT that means that it is now easy to use while travelling (even with limited Wi-Fi) or if you have a spotty internet connection at home.
