If you get my emails (you should), you know I mentioned the love I got for my October series on activities for older kids. With that in mind, I decided to do something similar for February.
When you do a quick search for Valentine’s Day activities you can easily stumble upon lots of fun stuff for the younger kids, but once kids get in middle school the fun can seem to fade away.
This is a growing list of FREE activities for older kids. The best part is that I’ve done all the searching for you.
There are so many fun things going on that I’ll be using all the themes including my personal favorite, “Let’s get through the February slump!”. First up is Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day Logic Puzzle

Dark vs. Milk Chocolate?
Kids are provided with informational text on the nutritional benefits of milk vs. dark chocolate. You could even add a taste test for more fun. A great way to incorporate health, nutrition, and text skills. This is being offered by Stephanie Elkowitz at TPT.
