Evolution and Natural Selection Sub Plan

Description

The focus of this sub plan is evolution and natural selection. This could be used to introduce or reinforce many of the topics in a unit on evolution such as modes of selection, adaptations, and Hardy-Weinberg,

This sub plan includes everything you need for your sub.  You can print and go that morning.

This plan relies on YouTube videos to teach the lesson, if you do not have access to YouTube these lessons will not work.

Specific for this plan:

Students will have a chance to watch a few videos (a YouTube playlist is provided).

Students will be completing notes during the videos. I have included 2 versions of each set of notes:

•Completed (serves as key)

•Blank (just basic organization)

I have also included informational texts to work on for the remainder of class. They could be assigned as small group work or individuals, you know your classes best.

There are 6 informational texts in total. I have included a student research sheet for the texts.
