If you know someone that works in a lab or other secure space, a lanyard is probably part of their work “uniform”. That handy string helps key cards and ID from getting lost in bags or on counters. I’ve never worked in a lab that didn’t have keys hanging from a lanyard on the wall.

Luckily, lanyards have moved from boring to an entire industry focused on fun lanyards. They are also handy to have at amusement parks.

Lanyards are often free swag at conferences and training. Don’t provide someone else with free advertising. A lanyard may be the only way to add some personality to your lab coat or scrubs.
